What I Want: Backyard Studio

Though I have a lovely view of the lake from my corner office (woohoo!) I would so much rather work from home. But rather than plant my bum on my couch every day and make a permanent dent, I think I would build a backyard studio/office. How great would one of these be?

Backyard Bedroom

I took an impromptu vacation day today...so that I could mow the lawn. I'm serious. It was finally a sunny day and the grass was about 5 feet tall. Ok, slight exaggeration.

Though I spent almost six hours mowing, weeding, and planting it is so worth it. And I actually like doing it. I have a blast doing anything where I can see the results of my work. My yard looks much better...though it's nothing compared to my neigbhors gorgeous lawn. If only!

Now, all I need is this in the yard to hose off....

And this to take a nap. Then life would be good. Real good.

Backyard Bliss

This small house of Di Zock, a garden designer, is perfect. Who needs a large house when you can have an outdoor space like this? Ok, maybe this wouldn't really work in Madison where great weather only lasts, oh, about two weeks!

I really love the colors and the simplicity of the design. The garden is gorgeous. AND the little office is so quaint. I want to move here!

Wouldn't it be great to have a 30 second commute to work? I think I would be so much more productive if I worked in an environment like this!

Say Hello To My Little Friend

Meet my new composter! Mine is an orange version and looks very cute on my counter top. It was my only purchase I made this weekend and I got a great deal on it at one of my favorite stores, HomeGoods.

Hopefully it will help me add many nutrients to my soil so my lil' garden will grow!
