Uguisu
I'm loving these fun office/paper products from Uguisu.
Next week I'm heading down the hall to a new office. Perhaps I should
buy myself some fun stuff to add to the new office? I think so!

Let's Go Here: Cielito
I want to open a coffee shop like this in Madison. Look at this place! Look at the packaging! I would live here. Srsly.
There are 15 Cielito cafes in Mexico City and let me tell you, they look so much cooler than the bazillion Starbucks all over the world combines. The packaging and branding was done by Cadena+Asoc. Branding. They killed it.
I'd consider this Latin American folk + neo-retro + modern. Overall it equals pure awesome. Book me a ticket to Mexico City so I can see these babies in person.

Vintage Katha Quilts
These. Are. Beautiful.
Take some time (like, oh, hours) to peruse the Niki Jones web site. So many beautiful items for your home. And, as you can tell, I'm partial to the vintage items.
Thanks to Eat Drink Chic for posting these!

What I Want: Backyard Studio
Though I have a lovely view of the lake from my corner office (woohoo!) I would so much rather work from home. But rather than plant my bum on my couch every day and make a permanent dent, I think I would build a backyard studio/office. How great would one of these be?

Anatolian House
Can we just say Heaven??
I saw a tweet the other day (while enjoying a snow day!!) from Anthology Magazine about the Anatolian House and decided that I must move Turkey to the top of my travel destination list.
Anatolia is located in Central Turkey and it is, obviously, so very, very beautiful. Perhaps I should go there now to escape from this crazy Wisconsin weather!

Fr. Anzia
We've all had it. You may not want to admit it, but it's true.
At one time or another you've imbibed in a bit of Franzia, that lovely liquid flowing from a box. I am pretty certain everyone would recognize that ugly white box with the spigot. Maybe it sat in your refrigerator, right next to the glowing bottles of Boone's Farm (seriously, you know it's true).
Check out how one student redesigned the infamous Franzia box. I'd buy this and proudly display it for all to see. Wouldn't you?

Best Album Covers of 2010
So Paste recently came out with their list of best album covers of this year. There were a few I liked but I decided to make my own list. And yes, I'm too lazy to write out the artists of each. Just enjoy the pretty pictures!
This Flying Lotus cover is probably my favorite.
How can you not love The Black Keys cover? It's so random. So straight and to the point. I need to marry one of these guys. Really, I do.
This Flying Lotus cover is probably my favorite.

Maggie Leininger
One thing that I really love about taking design classes is the access to a ton of design books. I could literally spend days reading these books, looking at the images, and wondering if I will ever be that talented. Every page brings something new and exciting and it amazes me that people can come up with such creative ideas and projects and actually create something so unique. What I love most, though, is people who find art in the everyday...every day.
I came across a few pages devoted to Maggie Leininger in some fabulous book (maybe Textiles Today???) and wanted to post these images of her hand stitching on various textiles. It's stunning.
I've posted before about artists using microorganisms, cells and petri dishes as inspiration for art and it's obvious I've got a thing for it!
