Eames

I had every intention of going to bed early last night but then got sucked into the Eames documentary on PBS. So, in honor of their work, here's some pretty pics of their classic chairs.

I'd Like to Live Here

I don't remember how I entertained myself on the ride into work before I had my "fancy fone." I refuse to call it a smart phone and fancy fone sounds so much more...fun. But I digress...

ANYWAY, I need to entertain myself for about 25 minutes so it's the perfect time to peruse the various blogs I read, check Twitter and all that other jazz. Sometimes I come across something so fabulous I need to email it to myself to stare at it later on my humongo computer screen (you know, when I get into work and need to look at pretty photos whilst I drink my morning coffee).

This is one of those images. I love this room. I'd gladly live here if you'd let me.

Also, if you haven't checked out Anchor Division you should. I mean, you do like looking at great photos of stylish and ruggedly handsome men, don't you? Or, here's what they say about their blog: Men's Wear, Vintage Inspiration, with a hint of Architecture, Automobiles, Motorcycles, and all types of Art and Design. Hmmm...I guess since they're geared towards men they don't focus on the rugged and handsome part. Oh well.

Stephen Kenn

These furniture pieces by Stephen Kenn were posted on DesignSponge the other day and I just had to share. They are perfect in so many ways. I can just picture a few of these lovely little guys in my converted farmhouse or factory space...that I'll live in someday. I will. I. Will.

I really love the army green re-purposed material combined with the leather details. His furniture is both so unique and of-the-moment yet so classic. Army green and leather will never, ever go out of style. The color is a great neutral that a lot of people don't use in their homes but I think more people will consider it after seeing these beauties!

Vintage Katha Quilts

These. Are. Beautiful.

Take some time (like, oh, hours) to peruse the Niki Jones web site. So many beautiful items for your home. And, as you can tell, I'm partial to the vintage items.

Thanks to Eat Drink Chic for posting these!

What I Want: Backyard Studio

Though I have a lovely view of the lake from my corner office (woohoo!) I would so much rather work from home. But rather than plant my bum on my couch every day and make a permanent dent, I think I would build a backyard studio/office. How great would one of these be?

Anatolian House

Can we just say Heaven??
I saw a tweet the other day (while enjoying a snow day!!) from Anthology Magazine about the Anatolian House and decided that I must move Turkey to the top of my travel destination list.
Anatolia is located in Central Turkey and it is, obviously, so very, very beautiful. Perhaps I should go there now to escape from this crazy Wisconsin weather!

Saw these A. Toy bags on Simplesong and had to post my faves.

Only 99 of each are made. Must get one of them!

What I Need: These Boots, Please

Let's face it. Summer is over. Sad, but true. I love fall...but maybe it could have waited just a few more weeks? It's dark at 7pm around here. WTF???

Ok, I should get over it. Summer will be back next year. And I really do love fall. I mean, I really do.  The colors. The apple and pumpkin goodies. The crunchy leaves. An excuse to start drinking hot chocolate every night (maybe I should keep that secret to myself??). Plus, a girl as pale as me can only handle the pressure of trying to be tan for so long. Let me cover myself up with some tights, a sweater, a scarf and.....some amazing boots like these!

Hello lovelies.

 (Frye - Jane Tall Cuff)

I think I also need a horse to go with these boots. And a hunky cowboy, perhaps?!?

Hey Chap

You've probably heard of Factory 20, right? It's one of my dream sources for my future "urban farmhouse." Yep, that's what I would consider to be the future style of my dream home....well, at least one of my dream homes. I've got plans to have 3-4 so that I can stay in multiple cities (hello fabulous European city and hello lovely beach home) and decorate in different ways. What can I say, I like variety. Oh, and I have a very active imagination.

Anyway, there are too many amazing things currently on the Factory 20 site. If I lived in the VA (it is for lovers, you know) I'd be hitting up this place. I tell you, anything that is rusty or worn will be loved by me and they've got it all. I couldn't help but post this picture of the chaps they've got. Yes, chaps. Who doesn't need a pair of these? I know I do since one day I'll be living on a sprawling ranch somewhere in Montana...

The Perfect Life

Mine would involve a lot of this:
Looking fabulous. Eating fresh & healthy food at a quaint sidewalk cafe every day. An abundance of free time and no worries in the world. Time to read all the best magazines and books. The sun always shining. And...somewhere in Europe.

Aaaaah, if only....
